On payments, Belgium leaves little choice: you deposit with the Bancontact card or the app, and you withdraw by bank transfer. Payconiq by Bancontact was renamed Bancontact Pay in March 2026. Nearly every Belgian bank card handles Bancontact, with €5 as the usual minimum.
